Music Research

In our most recent story-line we have a a few shots where someone is listening to music. For this we can either create a song by ourselves and record it or we could use someone else's song, where we would need copyright to feature it in our opening scene.

For this blog, I am researching possible song choices where we would be able to have copyright for that song to be in the opening scene.

First of all I went onto YouTube and typed in the search bar, "Songs without copyright".
Here are the results that came up:

I then clicked on this channel which features over 1,000 songs that you do not need copyright for.

The only thing you need to do if you use one of the songs is to copy and paste the text in the description box of that particular song into the description box of your video. This is so that you can credit the artist etc.

Here are some songs that would be suitable for our opening scene:

I also found another YouTube channel:
However, with this channel, you do not need to mention or credit the artist of the song.
Here are some songs from this channel that would also be suitable for our opening scene:

Overall, I believe that these songs would all be suitable for our opening scene because the all feature music which we can manipulate to make it seem sinister and scary, as well as lyrics that can be sung on their own which can also look sinister and create tension.

Here are the links for both YouTube channels for future reference:
First YouTube channel: Audio Library
Second YouTube channel: No Copyright
