Production company logos

For our film opening our group needs to decide which professional production company that we would want to use. I have researched 3 different professional production company logos and discussed which would be the best one to use for our groups film opening. When choosing the right professional production company logo I decided that it needs to be horror themed as we have chosen to do film a slasher film opening. It needs to be recognisable so that people are more likely to watch it if they have watched previous films that they have enjoyed with this production company.

The first one that we could use is warner brothers production company logo. I like the way it has a red background with the clouds which could represent blood. This would be good for our slasher film opening. There are also strokes of lightning which are sinister and scary which relates to our genre of horror.

Another film opening that we may use is Blumhouse productions. This is the most common production company logo that horror films use, so conforms to conventions of horror genre. We want to conform to all of the genre's common conventions to make our film opening typically slasher. I really like the typography in this production company logo and the way its presented on the wall.

The final one I have chosen is Lionsgate. I think this could be really good as it has a dark and spooky look at the beginning which could potentially go with our genre. However the typography is really basic and could be boring.

Overall I think we should use Blumhouse productions as our professional production company logo as it relates the best to our theme, the sound is really spooky and sinister and the typography is really unique and effective for a horror film opening.
